Current Support Needs

  • Event Setup & Cleanup: Assist with setting up tables, chairs, banners, and cleaning up community rooms after workshops.
  • Bereavement Support: Help prepare comfort foods, box meals, or coordinate serving during family funeral luncheons.
  • Workshop Kit Sorting: Help package beading needles, sorting threads, or cutting leather prior to crafting circles.

Volunteer Guidelines

  • Respect for Mohawk customs, territory, protocols, and Elders.
  • Willingness to listen, cooperate, and practice the Good Mind (*Kanikonhri:io*).
  • Reliable communication with our coordinating volunteers.

How Donations are Used

We compile community contributions and sales proceeds to support families and youth directly.

Catering Comfort Foods

Supports the purchase of ingredients for hot corn soup, scone bread, and drinks served to grieving families at funeral luncheons.

Student Encouragement Awards

Fund monetary gifts and awards presented to local graduating Mohawk students to encourage lifelong learning.

revitalization Materials

Purchases beads, needles, leather, thread, and language books for our seasonal community workshops.

Space & Printing

Helps cover community room rentals, printing flyers, and maintaining event outreach notifications.
